Drama Nights are Sundays on WSIU-TV
March 27, 2013
WSIU-TV's new Sunday night drama lineup beginning this Sunday, March 31 at 7pm (with the exception of Sunday, April 14, when the program will air at 9pm to accommodate special programming earlier in the evening) with Season Two of "Call the Midwife." Set in post-World War II England, this series tells the touching personal stories of a group of midwives and nursing nuns as they care for the most vulnerable residents of London's East End.
Following at 8pm is the new "Masterpiece Classic" series, "Mr. Selfridge", which stars actor Jeremy Piven in the title role of the colorful retail genius Harry Gordon Selfridge, the upstart Chicago native who taught London how to shop in the early 1900s and founded the modern department store experience. A flamboyant entrepreneur, Selfridge was addicted to the sensational in his professional and personal life, which created complications for all concerned.
