In this presentation, Dr. Toyosaki discusses culturally specific interpretations from Japanese perspectives of Miyazaki's works and their impact on Japan's women's and environmental movements. He analyzes Miyazaki's representative movies, focusing on the intersection between the heroines' gender identity and social agency performances.
