CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Two students and a 2008 alumnus in Southern Illinois University Carbondaleís Department of Radio-Television recently earned 2008 Student Silver Dome Awards from the Illinois Broadcasters Association.
The three specialize in the departmentís electronic media marketing and management sequence. A total of 20 SIUC radio-television students attended the ceremonies last month as part of the IBA-University conference at Illinois State University.
Jason List, who graduated in May 2008 with a degree in radio-television, placed first in best radio or television sales presentation (written). A May 2008 SIUC graduate specializing in media marketing and management, List is the son of Kenny and Susan List of Chatham. He is an account executive for Clear Channel Radio in Riverside/San Bernardino, Calif., working for general manager Bob Ridzak and Scott Welsh, both SIUC graduates.
Raleshia Howard received first place for best radio or television promotion campaign (written). She is a senior, and expects to graduate in May. She plans to pursue an internship next summer and enroll in graduate school in fall 2009. She is the daughter of Ronald and Linda Howard of Richton Park.
James G. Graham received second place for best radio or television promotion campaign (written). He is a senior from Buford, Ga.
