MCMA students are invited to drop in and have lunch with one of our distinguished alumni, Robert Dennis.
Robert has a long career of outstanding achievements at some of the premiere studios and technical companies in the United States.
His path to these achievements began with his first position as a television studio camera operator. From there, he moved up the industry ladder to very prestigious positions. He served as Post Production Supervisor, Restoration at Walt Disney Studios, where he supervised film restoration and preservation on a host of projects in the Disney and ABC libraries, working on Disney's 70mm library titles. He was heavily involved in supervising audio restoration, eventually moving into DVD audio mastering work for the studio.
He was also a Post Production Supervisor at the THX Division at Lucasfilm, where he supervised a staff of over 20 charged with release print quality control and show print assembly for all major theatrical studios in the THX Theater Alignment Program. He was Supervisor / Director, Post Production at HBO Pictures, where he streamlined post-production and delivery of content. In addition, he has been Sr. Vice President, Sales and New Media at Matchframe Video, Senior Director of Sales at Ascent Media Group, and Senior Executive Director ( Sales ) at Technicolor. Robert currently owns his own independent photography business.
Robert has been recognized as an industry leader. In 2002, he was named president, Large Format Cinema Association.
