WISU Spring Community Cinema

WSIU's Spring 2013 Community Cinema film screening schedule kicks off Saturday, January 26 at 2:30pm at the Carbondale Public Library.
January's featured film is "Soul Food Junkies," which explores the soul food tradition, its relevance to black cultural identity, and its contribution to modern health crises in communities of color.
A discussion with the audience will follow and will be facilitated by Angie Bailey, Director of Health Education at the Jackson County Health Department, Jo Sanders, Coordinator of Southern Illinois Healthcare Health Ministry, and ambassadors from Project Power, a group that provides information on diabetes awareness and healthy living tips to the African American community.
